Wise Care 365 Review
Detailed Reviews
As with every ongoing day, we use technology so erratically. Subtly, it is now difficult to live without it, since it has far too many uses. But for every technological item, none of them will perform in an absolute way.
At times, these devices act like crackpots and behave fitfully. Sudden lag in the system, memory issues in hard drive, processes taking too long, getting lots of error whenever you try to run a resource-heavy program, and so, are all signs of a faulty system.
The fault lies with the system itself. It can be the dusty hardware or even the software itself. In this case, too many junks in the system, unnecessary programs in the memory, malwares in the system, and many more such issues can cause system downfall.
To fight them, we can first try using a tool called System Optimizer. As its name says, System Optimizer has indeed multiple methods to work on such issues troubling system performance. Many of them even come with an anti-malware engine to clean the system infections.
Let us review one such System Optimizer below.
Pros
- Simple UI with multifaceted functions and optimization methods.
- It comes with many additional tools to aid the users in getting the most out of subscription.
- It has a lifetime free version, and only restricts some utilities in it.
- It helps in removal of junk files and registry. The tools to control startup processes and the task manager are amazing.
- Also provides an essential privacy protection tool.
Cons
- Some of the additional tools are downloaded separately. This can be annoying for slower internet or no internet audience.
- Privacy enhancer features need a bit of revamping. Same is the case with some toolbox items.
- No real-time protection against malwares and junk cleaning.
- Average support and knowledge base.
- It can lag the system while a particular internal app is being optimized, like Win explorer, media players, etc.
Introduction
As the company focuses on freeware and shareware, Wise Care 365 was mostly a combination of several utility apps launched by WiseCleaner.com before. Regardless, this product does give good vibes for us to continue towards reviewing it.
The optimizer merges multiple utilities from their company’s product list. You can find several services like system tuner, browser cleaner, data recovery, uninstaller, and such tools as separate products too.
From initial release in 2012 to now, this tool has indeed made a hell lot of progress. Now, it comes with so many utilities that it has become tough to track them all.
Nonetheless, we still have to assess it thoroughly and then work over to see if these many tools embedded in its package are really useful or not!
Installation and Initial Runover
One of the standard works to clean a junk-filled system is to get a sound system optimizer. After this, we need to see if it can tweak something or not.
Most of the tools in this product category do provide users with a cost-free trial copy, which allows users to test the software and even lure them into buying it.
But sadly, there is no trial copy given by WiseCleaner.com. Instead of that, there is a lifetime freeware copy of this software. Wise Care 365 has some of the features locked for the paid version.
But, there is a silver lining here too. These extra paid features won’t stop it from optimizing most of the stuff in your system, which includes cleaning junk files and optimizing the system files.
The configuration setup isn’t too tough to deal with. Let us review both the free as well as the paid version features.
After installing, like most cleaners, the central panel will prompt for a short scan, which seems a routine check. Similarly, Wise Cleaner 365 will display all the scan features on the mainboard. It will even show the record for total files cleaned, tune-ups, and trace removers.
Many useful utility tools are also present on this panel itself. Let us check them out one by one.
Testing Various Utilities of Wise Cleaner 365
It can be tiring for anyone, even for us, to assess so many internal tools and check their relevance. But for our readers, we will go through that trouble too.
The interface of Wise Cleaner 365 is distributed accordingly and comes in five primary tabs viz., PC checkup, Cleaner, Tune-up, System Monitor, and Privacy Protector.
Each section has its relevant utility tools to engage onto. The below article will give proper detailed insight into that too.
PC Checkup
The first step in system optimization is junk cleanup. Like always, it will include several things in the checklist like junk clean up, registry cleanup, browser cleanup, privacy check, etc.
The scan button here will allow us to check for any performance issues and clean them up. Press the Checkup button at the center. This will begin the initial scan.
The preset items that’ll be scanned are privacy traces, security settings, junk files and registry, system tune-up, and browser history remover. All of them are very crucial to progress.
The one that manages Privacy Issues is for the paid plan only. Nevertheless, the scan merely takes about 10 minutes, even in the most heavily unoptimized system.
Once it finishes, you can now see the data of junk files. This will make it clear about one of the issues that cause system slowdown. Use the Fix button and clean these things.
Once it is done, you can rejoice now. It auto closes any app that is hindering the cleaning process, and so even the history of browsers is deleted by auto-closing. The reason to refer to this is that many apps spoof the cleaning process, which isn’t the case here.
They will show extra junk in the system, leading to the impression that this tool cleans up most junk. At least some of these tools, including Wise Care 365, are honest about their job.
Now, on the right side tab, you can notice a System Protection button, and also a Utilities Tab. The system protection is real-time protection like seen in an anti-virus software.
This is again for the pro-plan users only. The icons below this are used to manage some utilities. The surprise here is that these utilities aren’t available directly in the main package. When you click over them, they’ll be downloaded first. This is very similar to another tool called IObit Advanced SystemCare.
There too, users will have to download these utilities. This is a bit sluggish, to be honest. It wouldn’t take much to embed them inside the main setup itself. Even tools like System Mechanic, WinOptimizer, etc. have given all the utilities in their own package.
We will take over these utilities later on. For now, we see the apps given in the core package itself. With the use of this fundamental tool and based on its execution, Wise Cleaner has indeed done some decent job.
Some of the system lag was cleared off. We even cross-checked it with other tools and got good results. So for now, Wise Cleaner 365 has performed well.
Testing the System Cleaner
What else will a system optimizer have than some cleaning tool? Well, many things. But this is one of the core features and so needs to be focused on properly.
Typically, if you have used any of the apps for system optimization, a cleanup utility is a must-see. As seen in products Advanced SystemCare, System Mechanic, Glary Utilities, etc., Wise Care 365 provides a cleanup tool.
The tool is very meek and can carry out the average task of cleaning junk files, folders, registry, big files, system cache files, etc. The first tab, Registry Cleaner, is quite handy.
Like always, many of us are familiar with the way registry works. It is critical in the OS architecture. Junk or infected registry can seriously affect some of the essential files. To protect it, we must optimize it regularly for best performance.
Use the scan button to check if there are any issues with the registry files. Once done, we can view what caused so many problems with the system registry. Hit the clean button and voila! All the junk registry entries are gone.
There is a small button called Custom Area, at the bottom. From there, we can even pick the registry files and manage them. Now, we move on to the next cleanup utility Common Cleanup.
This is nothing but merely a junk removal utility. There are various segments given by them to check for viz., Windows system, browser cache, app cache, and also traces remover.
If you compare these items or scan filters, they are pretty much standard. You won’t find anything surplus in most similar products. Once done, you can simply remove all these junk files.
This is also one of the fastest tools to do a quick scan and a swift cleaning operation. Are you still not satisfied? Well, to please skeptics, Wise Care 365 has one more similar tool.
Unlike the quick scan, you can try using the Advanced Scanner. Unlike our previous tool, this tool will scan based on file extensions. In short, it can even track the files left by other programs and whacky log files left by older OS or applications.
There is a small button at the bottom to select the extension type or even add your own. Be careful about what you type here since it can scan and remove some important files automatically.
After looking at the results, you can deduce how much advanced it is. Even some big cleaners like Advanced SystemCare and even CCleaner weren’t able to find these files while scanning. Now, just get rid of them.
All three main scan types worked smoothly. If you have lots of performance issues due to junk files, these three tools will save you. Keep in mind that not all data are accessible with system ON like boot log files, which will be removed only after a restart.
System Slimming is another new tool to play with. This section helps in the cleanup of the Windows installation cache, help files, and wallpaper files. Sometimes, data from these can take many GBs of storage. If you are desperate to save storage space, this will work for you.
Another identical tool, Big File Manager, also works the same. This time, it will scan for the more essential items from the system storage.
This tool is straight forward, and you just need to examine the drive for big files. You can do the same in a File System Viewer tool. Plus, this is limited to their paid plan.
This ends the system cleaning utilities. Overall, Wise Care 365 has just enough tools to carry an appropriate system cleanup.
System Tune-Up Utilities
As we know, merely removal of junk and freeing space isn’t going to cut the slack. We also need to monitor and optimize current system settings if we want to target the root cause.
If an OS is leaving too many log files and installation data, we need some ways to control it. Many things affect system performance, battery life, etc. and all of them need to be addressed. This is the place where we can monitor that.
The System Tune-Up here consists of a system optimizer, disk defrag, registry defrag, startup manager, and then context menu handler. The names themselves indicate how much affect they’ll cause to the system if messed wrongly.
In the first option, System Optimizer, we can manage settings for startup, stability, system, and network speedup. If you have already routed the initial optimization, it will display them as optimized. The ones that are not optimized can be done manually from here.
The next one is the Disk Defrag Tool. Over time, too much usage of disk-drive leads to its fragmentation. Highly fragmented disks tend to slow down. It cannot be completely overhauled, but defragmenting can help improve its performance.
Like always, you analyze a disk, and then put it for defragmentation. It is better to do it in off-time. Same is the case with registry defrag. Registry Defrag Tool can also optimize this. It will even display the optimization ratio and redundancy rate of the registry.
Do you have any other startup issues? The next part can enhance the device startup. In fact, every such optimizer will have these tools.
The Startup Manager is one crucial tool. Too many apps or processes at the start of Windows can delay many things. It will also affect system performance later on. To redact that, we need to remove unwanted programs opening with the system start.
The startup manager consists of Speedup Tool, Startup Process Manager, and a Record Keeper. Starting with the speedup tool, apart from the apps that start with the system, it takes a while for all of them to load.
Depending on the things installed, it may take 1 minute to even 5 minutes for a workable system. This section lists the processes that arise with the system and the time taken by them. It is divided into recommendations, optional OFFs, and no change options.
Like here, the next section lists all these apps along with ratings. This will give you better insight if the programs are critical to be in the startup list. The Services Tab displays individual services that run on start. The time taken by each of them is also shown.
We can hide the default Microsoft services and forfeit banning any useful app. The last tab is to see the records. It will hold the list of apps or services that you have disabled in the startup. We can review them here and restore them.
Overall, Wise Care 365 has given a much more thorough program than Advanced SystemCare, WinOptimizer, System Mechanic, etc.
Another annoying thing that we need to care about is the scrambled context menu, i.e., the one that appears after we right-click anything for operations like cut, copy, send to, etc.
All the apps affecting this menu are listed in the Context Menu Optimizer. Now, you can easily remove them from here. But, Wise Care 365 has made this tool a premium-only feature.
Poke the Prying eyes with Privacy Protector
One more crucial topic nowadays is privacy. The issue with so much hunger for data in the modern world has increased unethical data collection, where the privacy of the users is compromised at each step. From government agencies to local websites, everyone tries to collect data in one form or another.
To prevent our personal data from falling into their hands, we need to undergo some precautionary steps. Privacy Protector here enables you to configure those settings easily.
The items in this section are conventional ones, i.e., offer only essential protection. The first one is Privacy Eraser, which is used to clean the browsing history and cache of online activities. The next one is a disk eraser, which can remove the cached deleted files from the hard drive.
If you do not want to do this in the future, use the File Shredder to remove a file beforehand. One more interesting item is the Password Generator. It allows us to generate strong passwords with intricate combinations.
Overall, as much as it said, these features still need some brush-up to offer much better functions.
System Monitor
We all are very much familiar with Task Manager in Windows OS. Like that, this tool also gives complete info on running processes, resources consumed, disk usage, and so.
Wise Care 365 has given mainly two system monitor tools viz., Process Monitor, and Hardware Overview. They are meant to provide proper insight on current running processes and also the health of existing hardware.
In the process monitor, we can sort running processes based on memory or CPU usage and even kill them accordingly. See, it is just like the OS task manager.
Hardware overview has info on the current state of the system. It will encompass processor, disk drive, memory, network adapter, sound card, and motherboard. The info shown is very detailed, and so you will really find them interesting. However, there is no indicator of their health.
Some of the tools in Advanced SystemCare, Iolo System Mechanic, and many such optimizers will show the health of the connected hardware. We hope that WiseCleaner.com adds device health detection system too.
Additional Utilities in Wise Care 365
What can be more peculiar than getting supplementary tools in a single software subscription? It is really lovely of Wise Care 365 to include such extra utilities for its customers.
This extra efficacy can be accessed from the main panel itself. Most of the items in the lower half of this list are already reviewed by us above. There are still some utilities that need an honorable mention.
The first one in this list is Duplicate File Finder. It finds and removes duplicate files from the storage. Another one is the Force Delete tool. It helps in eliminating individual files forcefully. Sometimes, some files get their admin rights screwed up and won’t get removed by any means.
Also, some files get stuck in the file system. This tool can remove all such files without haste. Then they have a file finder, memory optimizer, reminder tool, and a game booster.
Well, the game booster looked pretty sleek. Playing games will consume substantial memory and CPU. That is why it is better to close all resources and heavy tasks. This is done by the game booster here. It can optimize the processes, manage services, and memory resources.
With this, we conclude the features in Wise Care 365. So far, even a child can learn and use it. Below is our final opinion.
Closing Verdict
The entire aim of exploring their setup is to find an excellent tool to clean all the junk in the system and carry out every type of advanced optimization.
Each of them has its significance, and they contributed to make Wise Care 365 an innovative package. Even after having a very meek UI, they still have much complex functions and workability.
The subscription package is also decently priced. But still, compared to tools like System Mechanic, Advanced SystemCare, WinOptimizer, etc., they need to enhance their UI and include much better features.
